Fionn's back from the Fatherland

Fionn and I have just returned from three weeks in sunny (yes, sunny) Ireland. What adventures we had. Especially the 12 transit on the flight back with just the two of us. Sheesh.

The little guy had a brilliant time with his cousins, aunts and uncles, and of course, Granny and Grandad. His cousin Amelie taught him a few tricks- pointing, pulling up on things to stand, tripods, and even how to have the world's runniest nose :) Cousin Farrah was very generous with kisses, hugs, and Organix snacks (can anyone freakin send me some of those? Fionn misses them already.) Cousin Luca was especially intriguing to Fionn. Here was a big(ger) boy, who was obviously cool, AND friends with Farrah. Fionn thought he was awesome.
We also went on a wee side trip to Fionn's favourite part of Ireland- Donegal (pictured above). There Fionn went to the beach, Malin Head (the northernmost point of Ireland) and of course, the pub. It was a boys only trip, so I'm not entirely sure just what kind of shennanigans he got up to with Daddy and Uncle Gerry... He did make a very good friend of Matthew (in photo below), Dee's big boy (he's 5 years old). They had great laughs together.
